We hold a licence record for FirstBet and very little else. It is not on enough of our price comparisons to have a measured pricing record, and it has no public review record large enough to count. Read from FirstBet's own site on 2026-08-09. Quoted rather than summarised, because the exact wording is the point.
Banzostar (Pty) Ltd is stated as licensed by the Western Cape Gambling and Racing Board, licence number 10185107 , issued 30 June 2017. They also state an Eastern Cape licence, ECBM 058, which we could not find in the National Gambling Board register..
"The maximum payout from any single bonus spin is R3,000. Should the customer receive a payout greater than this amount on a bonus spin, FirstBet will deduct the difference from the customer’s cash wallet."
Other capped-bonus terms limit what you gain. This one reduces money you funded yourself, so a spin that wins too much leaves you worse off than one that wins nothing.

On a R1,000 deposit that is R5,000 of your own money staked before any bonus exists. Their terms then say "To claim, the Bonus, the customer must contact FirstBet Support", so finishing the requirement and never writing in gets you nothing, and the 30-day clock runs regardless.
