No account, and nothing to sign up for
Licensed Bets has no sign-up, no login and no user accounts. We do not ask for your name, your email address, your phone number or your identity number, and there is nowhere on this site to give them to us.
The odds pages
The live odds section lets you type a stake so the page can work out what a price returns. That number is used in your own browser and is kept there. It never reaches us. The same is true of the sport and day you last looked at, which is remembered so the page opens where you left it.
Information we may collect
Standard analytics data, server logs, email messages you send us, and affiliate click data supplied by partner platforms.
Affiliate links, and what happens when you leave
Tapping a price or a bookmaker button opens that bookmaker's own site. From that moment you are on their site, under their terms and their privacy policy, not ours. Those links may carry a tracking parameter so the bookmaker can attribute the referral to us. We are told that a click happened and, if you go on to open an account, that a referral converted. We are not told who you are.
Do not use a betting site if you are not 18 or older, or if gambling is causing you harm.

Your rights, and what the law requires us to tell you
This section exists because the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 requires it, specifically section 18(1). We are the responsible party for this site.
Is giving us information voluntary?
Entirely voluntary. There is nothing on this site you must provide. We have no accounts, no sign-up and no forms. The only personal information you can give us is what you choose to put in an email to us.
What happens if you provide nothing
Nothing at all changes. Every page, every price, every licence record and the accumulator tool work exactly the same. No feature is withheld, no content is gated, and you are not tracked differently for declining. If you never contact us, we never hold anything that identifies you.
Cookies
This site sets no cookies of its own. Not for analytics, not for preferences, not for advertising. Our analytics is Plausible, which is cookieless by design and records no cross-site identifier.
Bookmakers you click through to will set their own cookies on their own sites, including affiliate tracking. That happens on their domain under their privacy policy, not ours, and we have no access to it.
Where your information goes
Analytics is served through this domain but processed by Plausible, whose infrastructure is hosted in the European Union. The EU has data-protection law broadly comparable to POPIA, which is the basis on which that transfer is made under section 72.
Affiliate click data is processed by each bookmaker's affiliate platform. Those are separate responsible parties operating under their own terms. Email sent to us is routed through Cloudflare Email Routing and delivered to a Google-hosted inbox, both of which involve processing outside South Africa.
How long we keep things
Email correspondence is kept while the matter is open and for a reasonable period afterwards, so that a correction we made can be traced back to what prompted it. Analytics is aggregate and holds nothing that identifies a person, so there is nothing in it to delete. We keep no reader database because there is no reader database.
Your rights
You are entitled, under POPIA, to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you.
- Correct or delete anything inaccurate, irrelevant, excessive, out of date, misleading or obtained unlawfully.
- Object to our processing it, on reasonable grounds.
- Complain to the Information Regulator.
To exercise any of these, email us. In practice the honest answer for almost every reader is that we hold nothing about you at all.
