Current editorial roles

The first role is evidence collection. That means opening official operator pages, saving the exact source URL, recording the last-reviewed date, and separating current licence evidence from affiliate programme evidence. A public affiliate programme proves a possible commercial route; it does not prove that a consumer-facing bookmaker page is current, licensed for every product, or suitable for a recommendation.

The second role is page maintenance. Betting pages age quickly because operators change footers, promotions, cashier methods, app routes, terms, and responsible gambling pages. A maintained page should update the claim, the source list, and the last-reviewed date when material evidence changes. If the evidence cannot be refreshed, the claim should be softened or removed.

How corrections are handled

Corrections are reviewed by source quality. Official operator pages, regulator pages, certificates, published terms, and dated written clarification carry more weight than marketing screenshots or copied competitor claims. When a correction affects licence status, product scope, payments, bonus terms, responsible gambling support, or affiliate disclosure, the visible page should be updated rather than patched only in metadata.

Readers, operators, and affiliate managers can send corrections, but the same evidence standard applies to everyone. The site should not remove a caution simply because it is commercially inconvenient. It should remove or change a caution when current evidence makes the caution wrong, incomplete, or stale.

Why there is no fake byline

Gambling is a sensitive vertical, so a fake expert profile would be worse than a generic desk byline. The current masthead is intentionally transparent: it tells readers that the site is using an editorial desk identity during the launch stage. A named author should be added only when the real person has approved public details such as name, role, profile links, and a photo.

When a named editor is added, the schema should change from an organization author to a Person author with worksFor, sameAs links, and a clear role description. Until then, Licensed Bets should win trust through source quality, dated evidence, corrections, and honest limitations.
