Tell us what is wrong

The prices here are real and they are ours. We read every listed South African bookmaker roughly every four minutes and publish what we actually saw, with the time we saw it. Nothing on this site is estimated, modelled or bought in. We hold no data agreement with any bookmaker, so a price can be a few minutes old and the bookmaker's own price is the one that counts. How live is this?

Why is this a beta? Because we are a data company, and data gets better with time. Every day we run, the price record gets longer, the licence register gets more complete and the ranking rests on more evidence. Some pages are still being written and a few bookmakers are not fully covered yet.

We would rather be useful now than perfect later. What is here already answers the question most punters never get answered: who is actually paying most, right now, and who is actually licensed to take your bet. Waiting another six months to publish that would help nobody.

Where we are unsure, we say so. Where we have not checked something, we do not claim it. If you find something wrong, tell us and we will fix it and say we did.

Every ice hockey fixture South African bookmakers are pricing more than a week out, compared across independent sources.

Prices read from each bookmaker's own published odds and last rebuilt 04 Nov, 22:28 SAST. These are ante-post prices on fixtures more than a week away: they move slowly, by the day rather than the minute, and they are not live offers. Once a fixture is inside seven days it moves to the live board, which is rebuilt every few minutes.

Why some prices here have no time on them

Every price on this site normally carries when it was read. On these fixtures many do not, and rather than print a number we cannot stand behind, we mark them. Roughly six in ten of the books here do not record when their own response was fetched, so there is no true read-time to publish. We will not substitute the time we wrote the row for the time the book quoted it: those are different facts. Where a price IS dated, the row says so.

Nothing on this page is a tip, and none of it is a live offer. It is the same bet at different prices on a fixture that has not come round yet, and the only claim made is that the difference was real when it was read.
